Testimonials
The Charities at St Andrew Holborn support many organisations which provide support to those in the area of benefit.
Below are two examples of feedback from projects that we have supported.
The Young Women’s Project: ran by King’s Cross Brunswick, received a grant from St Andrew Holborn Charity in 2009 to help fund a female youth worker post. The project provides support for young women in the Camden and Holborn area through a wide range of activities ranging from film projects, fashion projects and day trips, to fitness and health sessions.
The Project has ‘made a significant difference to the lives of local young women’ and ‘has enabled and empowered young women to get involved in positive activities and has broadened their horizons’.
St Alban’s Primary School in Camden received a grant from Bromfield Charity for a group learning and activities trip for years 5 and 6. They reported that all the children had had immense fun and had learned challenge themselves and enjoyed bonding as a group.
One pupil said of their zip wire experience: “...Suddenly it felt like I had been pushed off a tall building. I whizzed down the rope with a big grin on my face. I had done it! ... It felt great, the experience of a life time.”
